December 2022: Congrats, Xuanyi on winning the 2022 APL Materials 1st Place Excellence in Research Award! Read the Press Release here..

May 10, 2022: Xuanyi and Merve present posters at the American Ceramic Society Carolinas Section Meeting at UNC, Charlotte!

March 2022: New work led by NC-State Physics undergrads Yasemin Ozbek and Cooper Brooks showing how structure relates to superconductivity in thin titanium oxide films on arXiV https://arxiv.org/abs/2203.01405

February 2022: Xuanyi and Aubrey’s paper on understanding how the structure of thin SrRuO3 films evolve as their thicknesses are reduced to a few atomic layers is now on the arXiv. The electronic and magnetic properties change with thickness and using synchrotron X-ray at the Advanced Photon Source and high-resolution electron microscopy we show how the crystal structure evolves with film thickness.
